Tactical Asset Allocation with Macroeconomic Regime Detection

This paper extends the tactical asset allocation literature by incorporating regime modeling using techniques from machine learning. We propose a novel model that classifies current regimes, forecasts the distribution of future regimes, and integrates these forecasts with the historical performance of individual assets to optimize portfolio allocations. Utilizing a macroeconomic data set from the FRED-MD database, ou

Optimal Execution with Passive Market Impact

We derive a mesoscopic model for optimal execution with limit orders that incorporates microstructural features of passive price impact. Our framework is based on two empirical observables: the approximately exponential decay of limit-order fill probabilities with distance from the midprice, and the short-term linear response of price changes to order flow imbalance. Combining these ingredients, we obtain a reduced-f

Diverse Approaches to Optimal Execution Schedule Generation

We present the first application of MAP-Elites, a quality-diversity algorithm, to trade execution. Rather than searching for a single optimal policy, MAP-Elites generates a diverse portfolio of regime-specialist strategies indexed by liquidity and volatility conditions. Individual specialists achieve 8-10% performance improvements within their behavioural niches, while other cells show degradation, suggesting opportu

Intermediating DFMM Asset (IDA)

The Dynamic Function Market Maker (DFMM) introduced a fully automated framework for operating a multi-asset market, wherein an algorithmic accounting asset was used to connect different liquidity pools and ensure efficient rebalancing of risks, and internal accounting processes. In the DFMM design, this asset was not tradaeble; however, in this work, we explore the characteristics of this asset, if it were to be made
